Frequently Asked Questions — Pricing

Why are exotic hybrid cats so expensive?

Exotic hybrid cat prices reflect: the cost of maintaining wild species (Servals, Caracals, Lynx) which require exotic veterinary care, specialised diets, large enclosures, and legal permits; the limited production rates of early-generation kittens (an F1 Savannah litter produces 1–4 kittens); 24/7 hand-raising of newborns from birth; extensive health testing and TICA registration; and the lifetime support and guarantee provided with every placement. A well-produced F1 Savannah kitten costs the breeder $8,000–$12,000 to produce before any profit is considered.

Are cheaper Savannah cats available elsewhere?

Lower-priced "Savannahs" exist — but buyers should be aware that unverified claims of generation (particularly F1/F2 labels on what are actually F4+ or Bengals) are common in the market. An authentic F1 Savannah from a TICA-registered cattery with verified pedigree cannot be produced for significantly less than $12,000 total cost — any listing substantially below this should prompt careful verification of TICA paperwork and parentage documentation. We encourage all buyers to verify TICA registrations directly at tica.org.

Do prices include shipping?

Domestic US ground delivery is included at no additional charge for destinations within 1,200 miles. Air nanny service for domestic buyers outside this range adds approximately $500–$800. International shipping costs (CITES documentation, veterinary certificates, transport) are quoted individually and typically add $1,500–$5,000 depending on destination. We provide detailed shipping cost estimates before any deposit is requested from international buyers.

Can I negotiate the price?

Our prices are set based on the actual cost of our programme and reflect fair market value for verified, health-tested kittens with full documentation. We do not discount individual kitten prices. For buyers purchasing multiple kittens from the same or sequential litters, we offer modest package consideration — contact us for details. We prioritise quality and transparency over price flexibility.
