White Savannah Kittens

White Savannah Kittens — Rare Colour Variant

A white Savannah cat is an exceptionally rare colour variant of the Savannah breed expressing either the dominant white gene, the recessive white masking patterns, or in some cases expressing near-white through extreme dilution and silver expression. True white Savannahs with blue or odd-coloured eyes are among the rarest hybrid cats in the world — with fewer than a dozen verified white Savannah litters produced globally each year. Elite Hybrid Cats has dedicated years to developing our white Savannah programme with fully health-tested breeding stock and verified genetics.

White Savannah Genetics

White in cats can be produced by several distinct genetic mechanisms. The most striking — and the variant we breed — involves the dominant white gene (W), which masks all underlying pigment and typically produces blue, gold, or odd-coloured eyes. A small percentage of dominant-white cats with blue eyes are deaf in one or both ears (the Waardenburg syndrome association), which is why all our white Savannah kittens undergo BAER hearing testing before placement. Only kittens with confirmed bilateral hearing are placed as pets; we are fully transparent about any hearing variations.

Care Requirements

White Savannahs have identical care requirements to standard Savannahs with two additional considerations: their white coat may be more susceptible to sun-induced yellowing (keep outdoor time on white surfaces limited and avoid prolonged sun exposure), and any white Savannah with blue eyes should receive a BAER hearing test — which we complete before placement. All other care — diet, enrichment, veterinary protocols — is identical to standard Savannah requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions — White Savannah Cats

Are white Savannah cats rare?

Yes — white Savannahs are among the rarest colour variants in the breed. Producing white offspring requires both a dominant white gene carrier parent and a Savannah programme specifically designed to incorporate this gene without losing TICA registration integrity. Fewer than a dozen verified white Savannah litters are produced globally each year.

Do white Savannah cats have health issues?

White cats with blue eyes have a statistical association with congenital deafness due to the genetic link between the dominant white gene and cochlear melanocyte development. This is why all our white kittens receive BAER (Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response) hearing tests before placement. Many white cats with blue eyes hear perfectly — the deafness association affects an estimated 17–22% of white cats with blue eyes. We only place kittens with confirmed bilateral hearing unless a buyer specifically requests and is fully informed about a unilaterally deaf kitten.

What eye colours do white Savannah cats have?

White Savannahs can express blue, gold, green, or odd-coloured eyes (one of each colour). Blue-eyed white cats are the most striking and sought-after, and they carry the highest association with the dominant white gene. Odd-eyed white cats — one blue eye, one gold or green — are also particularly prized.

How much does a white Savannah cat cost?

White Savannah kittens from health-tested programmes with BAER documentation range from $12,000 to $22,000, depending on generation, gender, eye colour, and individual quality. Their extreme rarity justifies the premium. International buyers from the UAE and Gulf region have been among the most frequent purchasers of our white Savannahs.
