Waitlist — How It Works

The most sought-after exotic hybrid kittens in our programme — HP F1 Savannahs, silver F1s, white Savannahs, and rare species — are reserved from our waitlist before they are born. Understanding how our waitlist system works ensures you secure the kitten you want at the right time, with no surprises. This page explains everything: how to join, how placement works, deposit details, and realistic wait times for each breed and generation.

How the Waitlist Works

Our waitlist is position-based within each breed/generation category. When a litter is born, the clients with deposits on the waitlist for that breed are contacted in order. The first client on the waitlist has first selection rights; the second client selects from the remaining kittens; and so on. If a litter does not include a kitten suitable for a particular waitlist client (for example, a client waiting specifically for a silver F1 female, and only males are born), they retain their position and priority for the next litter.

Frequently Asked Questions — Waitlist

If I join the waitlist today, when will I get my kitten?

Wait times depend on the breed, your preferences, and your position on the list. As a general guide: F2 Savannahs typically 3–8 months; F1 Savannahs 6–14 months; HP F1 and rare colour variants 12–24 months. We provide a current estimate of your wait time when you confirm your position. We are transparent about realistic timelines — we would rather give you an honest long estimate than a short one that disappoints.

Is my deposit secure?

Yes. Deposits are held in a dedicated client account, separate from operating funds. All deposit terms are documented in a written agreement that you receive within 24 hours of payment. The refund policy for each breed is specified in the agreement. We have maintained a 100% deposit refund record over our 12-year history — we have never withheld a refund from an eligible client.

Can I change my breed preference after joining the waitlist?

Yes. If you decide you want a different breed or generation than originally specified, we will transfer your deposit to the new waitlist category. Your wait time will restart at that point, but your deposit remains active. Changes to breed/generation preference must be made before a specific kitten is designated for you — once you have been matched with a kitten and signed the purchase agreement, breed changes are not possible.

What happens if I change my mind?

If you change your mind at any point before signing a purchase agreement for a specific kitten, you will receive a full refund of your deposit with no explanation required. We understand that life circumstances change. Simply notify us by email that you wish to cancel your waitlist position, and your refund will be processed within 5 business days.

Can I be on multiple waitlists at once?

Yes. Some buyers join multiple breed waitlists simultaneously — for example, both the F1 Savannah and the F2 silver Savannah waitlist, with the intention of choosing one when the first opportunity arises. This is permitted with separate deposits for each position. If you are matched with a kitten from one waitlist and choose to proceed, we will automatically process a refund for your other waitlist deposits unless you wish to maintain them.
